Entergy New Orleans has developed an Air Conditioning Tune-Up Program to help all its Entergy New Orleans customers located on the East Bank.  This program was designed so that HELP!! Air Conditioning can help home owners reduce their energy consumption and cost.  This program offers an instant rebate for the homeowner.  There is nothing to mail in to Entergy of New Orleans, no waiting for a rebate to come in the mail, this is an instant rebate given to you by us, HELP!! Air Conditioning, as a Participating Contractor for the Energy Smart Program.  You will receive a $75 instant rebate off the price of an Energy Smart Tune-Up for each air conditioning system in your house, that’s right, 2 air conditioners will get you $150 in instant rebates.


    So how does the Energy Smart A/C Tune-Up work?  Set up an Energy Smart Tune-Up with Help Air Conditioning at 504-733-5888 or you can log a request at  www.HelpServiceCo.com  and we will come out and perform the Energy Smart Tune-up on your air conditioner.  We will follow all the guidelines set by the Energy Smart Program.  All required forms will be filled out by our qualified service technicians and all information will be shared with you.   If we find any issues that we feel you need to be aware of we will share these concerns and offer you options to correct them.  Once the Tune-up is performed we will write up your invoice and give you an instant Rebate of $75 per system.


Here’s what you get with your Energy Smart Tune-Up from Help!! Air Conditioning. 

 

  • Check thermostat: clean & level
  • Check basic system functionality
  • Check for broken / loose parts or unusual vibration
  • Check compressor contactor points and start / run capacitors; tighten electrical connections
  • Check AC System and Safety Controls
  • Clean and/or replace air filter(s). (Customer provides; if not available, clean and replace existing)
  • Inspect for safety or code concerns and examine equipment zone / clearances
  • Inspect Evaporator Coil; recommend it be professionally cleaned if needed *
  • Inspect blower for dust and dirt, recommend it be pulled and cleaned if dirty*
  • Inspect condensate drain pan and pipe, clean and flush
  • Lubricate all moving parts (when applicable)
  • Chemically clean condenser coils; comb fins if possible
  • Measure and record: Supply air (DB) and return air (DB) temperatures
    Measure and record: Condenser entering air temperature
  • Measure and record: Refrigerant suction and liquid line pressures
  • Measure and record: Refrigerant suction and liquid line temperatures
  • Determine "superheat" and “subcooling”
  • Electronically adjust refrigerant charge to manufacturer’s specifications*
